Project description

As part of Youth Fusion's Tech Exploration module, the ZOPAM project shone with an innovative idea as relevant as it is ingenious: an intelligent metal tree, designed to detect flames and automatically spray water to limit the spread of forest fires.

Imagined and developed by the ZOPAM team from Saint Justin Elementary School, made up of Zachary, Olivia, Preston, Ann-Sophie and Maxim. This technological prototype has been entirely modelled in 3D, and is accompanied by a programmed model of a mobile application dedicated to firefighters, enabling them to trigger the water jets remotely.

Thanks to their creativity, sense of innovation and commitment to the environment, these youths have devised a concrete solution to a global challenge: fighting forest fires. Their metal tree, as strong as it is functional, has the potential to protect not only flora and fauna, but also cities threatened by fire.

A huge bravo to the ZOPAM team for this remarkable achievement. This project shows that when youths are given the right tools and the freedom to create, they can invent tomorrow's world.
